Our youngest children
A home from home for little explorers
A calm, welcoming and stimulating environment for babies aged approximately 6 to 18 months.
Purposefully designed for our youngest children, the room provides a warm, home-from-home setting with dedicated areas for crawling, play and sleep. Breakfast, snacks, lunch and a freshly cooked tea are provided each day.
Your child will be supported by experienced staff who understand the developmental needs of this age group. A carefully selected range of engaging toys and activities encourages each baby’s learning and development, helping them become a confident and inquisitive toddler.
We follow each baby’s individual routine, recognising that every child has their own needs and preferences. A typical day may include breakfast between 8.00 and 8.30 am, followed by morning play and planned activities, with naps taken as required. Lunch is served at 11.30 am, followed by an afternoon nap. Snacks are offered later in the day, together with further opportunities for play, activities and singing. Drinks are available throughout the day, and nappies are checked at regular intervals.
Sensory learning
Learning here is very much through sensory experiences and treasure baskets using natural everyday objects which babies love to explore.
Outdoors every day
Snowdrops go outside at least twice a day to experience the weather and watch the older children at play.
Meals provided
We provide breakfast, snacks, lunch and cooked tea for this age group throughout the day.
Cosy sleep times
Individual sleep mats make a cosy bed for when your little one requires some sleep.
